Castagna is Monique Siu's fine dining restaurant on Hawthorne Boulevard in Southeast Portland, with a progressive menu by Chef Justin Woodward and a wine list by Brent Braun. 

Woodward came to Castagna after working in some of the world's most esteemed kitchens including Noma in Copenhagen, L'Auberge Del Mar in San Diego, Mugaritz in San Sebastian, and WD-50 in New York. Nominated for the James Beard Foundation’s Rising Star Chef award in 2013, Woodward has also been a semifinalist for Best Chef Northwest in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. With his playfully progressive menu at Castagna, Woodward continues to push the boundaries of fine dining in Portland. 

Braun was one of Food & Wine Magazine's Sommeliers of the Year 2017 and is a rising star in the Portland wine scene. He received his sommelier certification from the Court of Masters at the age of 25 and brings a myriad of wine industry experiences to Castagna. Braun's list at Castagna echos the seasonality and playfulness of Woodward's menu, highlighting small producers from up-and-coming wine regions, as well as rare and unique bottlings. He takes great pleasure in introducing guests to new wines and approaches the art of pairing with the goal of intellectual stimulation.
