Helioterra Wines, a small urban winery in SE Portland, produces aromatic whites, expressive Pinot Noirs, and Rhone reds that reflect the distinct terroirs of the Pacific Northwest.

Winemaker and Owner Anne Hubatch draws from her background in geology and her extensive winemaking experience to create wines with minimal intervention that honor the fruit and the people who grow it, without limiting herself to any particular style or type of wine.

Hubatch takes great pride in her unique white winemaking techniques, which involve dividing vineyards into lots and fermenting grapes in 6-12 different types of vessels and with different yeast strains before blending. Helioterra’s white wines are aged longer than many other wineries, allowing them time to show characteristics of soil, site, and clonal selection.

Helioterra produces Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, and Syrah, as well as emerging varieties such as Arneis, Melon de Bourgogne, and Mourvédre.
