This charming fine dining destination is located in a lovingly restored Victorian in Newberg, Oregon, the epicenter of the Willamette Valley. Oregon's only Forbes Four-Star and AAA Four Diamond Fine Dining Experience, The Painted Lady has earned many accolades for its exceptional service, singular wine list and unforgettable food.

Chef Allen Routt and Jessica Bagley opened The Painted Lady in 2005. Routt and Bagley worked together in restaurants across the country, including the Inn at Little Washington (Washington, VA), Pesce (Washington, DC), Mark’s South Beach (Miami, FL), and Brannan’s Grill (Calistoga, CA). They also traveled extensively through Europe, studying the regional cuisines of France, Spain and Italy.

At The Painted Lady, Chef Routt applies the philosophy of the painted lady colorist movement to his dishes, using exciting, contrasting ingredients and highlighting their natural flourishes. In 2016, Routt was a James Beard Awards semifinalist for Best Chef in America.

Routt and Bagley also own Storrs Smokehouse, a casual barbecue restaurant in Newberg serving smoked meats and house-made ice cream, and The Painted Lady Guesthouse, a cottage just next door to the The Painted Lady.
