Sunday Sauce is a New Jersey-Italian red sauce joint in Northeast Portland. Owned by Amanda and Judson Winquist, who also co-own Normandie with Chef Heather Kintler, Sunday Sauce is a love letter to Amanda’s late mom. The menu includes recognizable family favorites like eggplant parm, meatballs, Caesar salad, and Disco Fries (IYKYK), and of course the eponymous Sunday Sauce—a tomato-based sauce—perfected by Chef Isaiah Brown. The cocktail list focuses on martinis and other drinks Judson made when he met Amanda, working at a bar in Hoboken, NJ. The 45-seat restaurant is warm and boisterous, not unlike a large family gathering. Sunday Sauce opened in October 2025.
